The following organizations comprise AWIB’s competitively awarded statewide network of WIOA Youth program service providers for State Fiscal Year 2026:

Alaska's Department of Family and Community Services (DFCS)

The DFCS program supports youth under Division of Juvenile Justice supervision in secure treatment facilities statewide by offering individualized services to help them achieve educational and employment goals. Services include high school completion, job training, supportive services, prevention and reintegration support, and follow-up assistance.


Alaska Vocational Technical Center

The AVTEC WIOA Youth Program provides eligible participants with occupational skills training, supportive services, high school completion support, job placement, and work experience. It is well-suited for youth pursuing post-secondary training to enhance their employment skills and earn industry-recognized credentials aligned with Alaska’s in-demand occupations.


Kodiak Area Native Association

The Kodiak Area Native Association (KANA) WIOA Youth program offers case management, career counseling, and subsidized employment for Alaska Native and American Indian youth ages 16–24. Designed for out-of-school youth facing barriers to employment, the program prepares participants for careers in healthcare, behavioral health, childcare, and natural resources. With strong regional partnerships and hands-on training, it’s an ideal fit for youth seeking meaningful work experience and a path to self-sufficiency.


Literacy Council of Alaska, Inc.

The Literacy Council of Alaska program provides services such as English language learning, high school completion, tutoring, and ABE testing, along with occupational skills training, work experience, supportive services, and job placement. Nine Star Enterprises

University of Alaska Anchorage: Kenai Peninsula College

UAA Kenai College offers services to out-of-school youth ages 16-24 who face barriers to education and career advancement. The college helps participants achieve high school equivalency, connect with employers in in-demand occupations, access work experience and career exploration opportunities, and pursue postsecondary education and training. Support services are provided to ensure participants' success throughout their training


Yukon Delta Fisheries Development Association

The Yukon Delta Fisheries Development Association (YDFDA) WIOA Youth program provides career counseling, case management, and paid work experience for youth ages 14–24 in six remote Alaska communities. Focused on agriculture, fisheries, and community service, the program builds job skills and supports career exploration. It’s an ideal fit for youth seeking hands-on experience and meaningful work in rural settings.


Yukon-Koyukuk School District

The Yukon-Koyukuk School District (YKSD) WIOA Youth program offers career counseling, case management, and hands-on vocational training for at-risk youth in rural Alaska. Centered around Short-Term Intensive Trainings, the program prepares participants for careers in healthcare, construction, and technology. With flexible learning through Raven Homeschool and strong partnerships with UAF, IBEW, and the Fairbanks Job Center, it’s an ideal fit for youth facing barriers due to geographic isolation or limited access to job opportunities and training.
